Yvonne Mary Splady, 96, of Bemidji, MN died Friday, January 5, 2024 at Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji.

Yvonne was born March 2, 1927 in Rugby, ND, the daughter of Carl and LaRue (Rudolph) Larson. She graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1945 and Northwestern Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis in 1948. She married Douglas Allen Splady August 21, 1948 in Cannon Falls, MN.

They lived and worked in various states including; OK, KS, WI, and Minnesota. She was Special Duty in NW Hospital, and as an RN at Waukesha County Hospital for the Mentally Ill in Wisconsin, Dupage Convol Home in Illinois, Planned Parenthood of MN in Brainerd, Brainerd Medical Center, and as a clerk of East Gull, MN.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Bemidji, OES Past Matron, and Sons of Norway. She had served on the Auxiliary Board of St. Joseph Hospital in Brainerd and Board of Directors of TriCap in Little Falls, MN.

She enjoyed craft, knitting, reading, hardanger, any needlework, and puzzles. She was very close to the ladies in her church circle. She enjoyed her friends and the community at BirchHaven.

She is survived by her son, Charles Splady of Oakland, CA, daughters, Mary Splady of Bemidji, and Teri Finn of Roseville, grandchildren, J.D. Schmid, Joseph Schmid, Anna (Aaron Richner) Splady, Jamie (Gabe) Becker Finn, Jacob Finn, Brad Splady, Aaron Splady, and Jordan Robinson, great grandkids, Maddie, Donavon, Vincent, and Benjamin Schmid, Will Richner, Evelyn Splady, Koivu Becker-Finn, Vida Becker-Finn, and Scarlet Yvonne Splady, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C.A. Larson and LaRue Larson, husband, Douglas A. Splady, and sisters, Audry Larson, Madelyne Kassebaum, and Roberta Flom.
