Billy Beem Bom Boom. The Beemer

William J (Billy) Aasen, 67, of Fridley, MN passed away on January 5, 2022 after battling nasal cancer, other ailments and finally an acute event. Billy was born in Minneapolis, grew up in Columbia Heights and was a proud Hylander. Billy enjoyed his diverse career in sales, painting and plastic fabrication. Preceded in death by parents Pete and Rosella and brother Ken. Survived by his siblings Patty, Bob, Dave (Lynette), Steve (Liz), sister-in-law LuAnn and former sister-in-law Pam along with many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, a slew of cousins and step-siblings. Billy loved his independence, biking and walking along the Coon Rapids Dam Trail. Everybody loved Billy. He was kind, engaging and curious and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society of MN in Billy’s name or your favorite charity. No service will be held. Arrangements by Crescent Tide Cremation Society. Special thanks to the many care providers on Fairview Team Aasen.

A Celebration of Billy’s Life will be held February 26 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm in person and on Zoom at the Brooklyn Park Community Activity Center, Grand Room 3 (masks required to enter the building, masks optional in the room).
