William (Bill) Anthony Michaud

Bill will be greatly missed by his family and countless friends.

He will be missed every time the coffee brews and with every sip of red wine. He will be missed on every boat ride, every sunset on the lake, and every kayak float.

He will be missed at every baseball game, basketball game, and dance recital. He will be missed every time a good song plays and at every foot stomping dance.

He will be missed every time we look through a stained glass window, every time we tinker around the house, and every time we find a new hobby.

He will be missed on every camping trip, every hike, and every walk around town. He will be missed at every winter solstice, every campfire and every time we watch the river flow by.

He will be missed every single day.

Bill is survived by his daughters Lea Michaud (Matt Hill), Anna (Shaun) Lund, Lisa (Matt) Potting, his five grandchildren, his brothers Mike (Nan), Dennis (Carla), Jack (Lil), Jim (Myrna), sisters Nancy (Ron) Strand, Patty (Dan) Marx, Mary (Brian) Pedersen. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Irene Michaud, and his brother Larry Michaud.

We welcome all to join us on September 18th for his Forest Memorial, followed by a Celebration of Life that evening.

FOREST MEMORIAL

Bill's Forest Memorial is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18th, at 1:00pm.

Please read all detailed information.

The forest address is 12630 Lakamaga Trail N, Marine on St Croix, MN 55047. You will see a green sign for Better Place Forests on Lakamaga Trail next to the driveway. Enter the driveway, through the entrance gate, and follow the driveway until you come upon the Welcome Tent. Since cellular reception can be spotty in this area we recommend loading directions before you depart from your home. We recommend using Google Maps (Do not search for Better Place Forests! Apple maps will not bring you to the correct location – use exact address provided.)

Our group is expected at 1:00pm. Please do not plan to arrive earlier, as they will be using that time for preparation to receive us. Though we can’t be early please be punctual as we will walk out as a group.

When you arrive, you are welcome to park in the parking area at the end of the driveway or along the driveway.

Plan on a 15 minute hike to his memorial location, on a dirt trail with some ups and downs. Wear decent shoes and dress for the weather. They will have bug spray, sunscreen, some umbrellas and walking sticks available for guests to use. Please also note that any type of smoking in the forest is strictly prohibited and will be enforced.
