Willard Norman Tollefson, 95, of Bagley, MN died on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Cornerstone Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bagley, Minnesota.

Willard was born on April 21, 1929 to Ingvold and Viola (Wymer) Tollefson at the family home in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He attended Bagley High School. Willard was united in marriage to Marion Hovde on June 10, 1950 in Fosston, Minnesota.

Willard was a hard-working logger and worked at various places in his trade including Fletcher’s Mill, Vorderbruggen’s Sawmill, Black Bay Logging Camp, and Art Johnson Logging. He also worked for the Bagley Housing Authority, where he retired from in 2014.

Willard was a member of Grace Free Lutheran Church in Bagley. He loved watching Westerns, going to the Casino, spending time with his kids and grandkids, and visiting with anyone that he could. He also enjoyed spending time outside, especially mowing the lawn, gardening, and taking walks and drives with Marion. Willard was quite the jokester and liked to make people laugh.

Willard is survived by his children, Sharon Martine of Bagley, MN, Sandy (Phillip) Bain of Washington, Larry (Tabitha) Tollefson of McIntosh, MN, Pam (Kerry) Jasperson of Bagley, MN, and Charlotte (Mike) Klema of Bagley, MN; 25 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 28 great great grandchildren; his brother, Gerald Tollefson; and many other loved family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Marion Tollefson; his sons, Norman Tollefson, Jerry Tollefson, and David Tollefson; his parents, Ingvold and Viola Tollefson; his grandchildren, Kimberly Jasperson, Christopher Jasperson, and Tommy Pletschett; his siblings, Marshall Tollefson and Clifford Tollefson; and his son-in-law, DeeWayne Martine.
