Wade Wiley Waldo, 58, of Kelliher, MN died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at his home.

Wade was born in Bemidji, MN on April 8, 1965 to Ronald and MaryLou Waldo. He lived in Kelliher, Minneapolis, Montana, and North Dakota as a child. He moved back to Kelliher with his family in 1980 where he graduated from high school in 1984. After high school he moved to the cities to lay floor covering until he moved back to Kelliher to work with his father in the floor covering business.

He married Marne Brula in 2004 and they resided on the Waldo farm. In recent years he changed his profession and became the evening custodian at the Northome School. He loved the people that he worked with, especially the students who wrote him many Thank You notes for his work there.

He coached trap for the Kelliher School for the past few years, sharing his love of the sport with shooters old and new. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and trapping. For him there was rarely a week where there was not some sort of season to prepare for or participate in.

Wade is survived by his wife Marne; his daughters, Aubree and Alison; parents Ron and MaryLou Waldo; and sister Shawn Waldo. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-laws Thomas and Peggy Brula; brother-in-law, Andrew (Alicia) Brula; nephews Jake Waldo and Brandon Brula; nieces Katie Grotte, Emily, Hannah, and Molly Brula; plus numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

He was proceeded in death by his grandparents Roy and Betty Waldo and Leo and Blanche Ferdig.

Rev. Raul Cobo-Perez will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., for one hour prior to the mass at the school. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Kelliher, MN.
