About Vinitha

With profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing away of Vinitha Rajamani De Alwis on August 18th 2021 in the United States of America from complications of cancer. Vinitha was born on August 30, 1945. She was preceded in death by loving husband, Kithsiri de Alwis.

She is survived by daughters Deepa, Nisha (Upul des) and Prasangi (Dietmar), and beloved grandchildren Dineth (20), Anishka (18), Sehanthiee (16), Disasni (11), Roshan (10) and Surangi (7).

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Vinitha tirelessly supported dozens of Sri Lankan children’s education and was the main benefactress of Agbho Raja Maha Viharaya in Kanthale, Sri Lanka. May she attain Nirvana.
