Victor "Vic" Tice

life story

Victor "Vic" Tice (78) passed away peacefully in hospice at the VA in St. Cloud, MN, on August 1, 2024. He was born July 14, 1946 in Topeka, KS, to Dana and Ann Tice. The family moved to Hackensack, MN, and later to Backus, MN. He graduated from Backus High School in 1964. Vic enlisted in the US Navy in 1966 where he served in Adak, AK, then in Vietnam. After returning home, he moved to his cabin in the woods, where he lived the rest of his life. He loved to hunt and fish, and he enjoyed spending time with his many friends over the years.

Vic will be missed by everyone who loved him. He is survived by his sister, Karen (Mark) Thielen; sister-in-law, Marilyn Tice; three nephews, Brian (Natasha) Tice, Aaron (Paula) Tice, and Monte (Pearl Cashman Haley) Lowry; niece, Kae (Eduard) von Reichmuth; as well as grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and a great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dana and Ann Tice; brother, Wendell Tice; and nephew, Kevin Tice.

Service will be held at Lakeside Baptist Church, 125 Church Lane, Backus, MN, 56435 on August 24, 2024, 11:00. Preceded by visitation one hour prior to service. Luncheon to follow. Private internment at Hillcrest Cemetery, Hackensack.
