"Tommy"

Thomas Patrick Patterson

December 17, 1952 - September 18, 2023

Tom passed away peacefully at his home in Clear Lake, Wisconsin on 9/18/23, after several years battling lung disease.

Preceded in death by his father Roy, brothers Daniel and Matthew, and sister Catherine Zahradka (Paul, deceased). Survived by mother AnnaMae, sisters Linda Kolnberger (Dick), Patti Peyer (Mike), and Midge Jackson (Joel), brothers John (Donna) and Mark, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tom was born in Albert Lea, MN and was a lover of the outdoors, which started along the banks of the Mississippi River during his childhood in South Saint Paul, Minnesota. His journey through life took him to the mountains of Northern California as a homesteader, the wilderness of Alaska as a lumberjack and fisherman, where he reeled in several hundred-pound halibut. He finally settled for the last 30 years at his home in the woods of Clear Lake, Wisconsin, where he fished, observed the abundant wildlife, and raised and sold cattle.

Tom spent most of his career in the construction industry, working proudly in Labor Unions 132 and 49B. He volunteered his time coaching Pee Wee hockey in Amery, Wisconsin. He was an avid sports fan of the Gophers, Vikings, and MN Wild. Tom had a curious mind about science, nature, and the universe. Best of all, he was a great storyteller of his ventures and life. Family will always remember him as one of the “little boys,” a title also carried by his brothers, John and Matt.

Tom will be missed by his family and many friends, both near and far.
