Thomas E. Nuebel, age 81, died peacefully at Parmly in Chisago City, MN, on February 17, 2024.

Thomas was born in St. Paul,MN to Loretta (Nelson) and Jerome Nuebel. He grew up in St. Paul. Went to elementary and middle school at Nativity and graduated from Cretin HS. After graduation he studied plumbing and pipe fitting and became a master plumber until he retired at age 62.

He married Penny Brummer on 12/31/1963 they lived in St. Paul until 1976 when they moved out to Cedar, MN. They have 4 children, Lorelei (Tim) Wakefield, Alan, Steven, David (Ericka). He resided in Cedar with his grandson Tanner , until his passing.

Thomas was a smart and talented man, who could fix anything. He loved being a husband, father, grandfather and enjoyed spending time with family. He loved to work on cars, construct and fly model airplanes, loved auto racing and anything to do with sports. He had an infectious laugh, and he loved his beer.

He is survived by his sister Pat Smith, sister in laws, Marilee Vraspir, Sue Brummer,Joanne Buck , 1 brother in law Gerald Brummer. His 4 children, grandchildren, Beau (Sandia), Chais (Mercedies) and Shane Wakefield, TJ (Amanda) Rick, Jared, Ty, and Kate Nuebel, Tanner, Sydney and Cooper Nuebel. 3 great grandkids, Kenleigh Rick, Anderson, and Benson Wakefield, and 2 more on the way. Nieces and nephews, Beth (Terry) Buckeye, Kris (Tim) Berle. Monica (Brian) Kuhl, Kris (Eric) Gentry, Andy (Cindy) and Tony Brummer, Dawn (Joe) Turrene, Angela (John) Carrol. Many great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Loretta, his in-laws Rudy and Dorothy Brummer, his wife Penny, sister Mary Kay, and nephew Ken Hendrickson.

He was Cremated at Crescent Tide Funeral Home in St. Paul, MN

A celebration of life will be held at Hidden Haven Golf Club in Cedar, MN on April 6, 2024 from 12-4 pm.
