Teresa Lynn Shipp

Teresa (Terri) Lynn Shipp, 66 went peacefully into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 4, 2024, while surrounded by her loving family. With her passing,Terri found freedom from all pain and suffering after a lengthy and courageous fight with cancer.

Terri was born to Dale and Patricia (Fitzgerald) Shipp on September 21, 1957, in Minneapolis MN. She attended school in Spring Lake Park, MN. She was united in marriage with Ronald Fonken on November 22, 1991. Terri worked at Food Machinery Corporation (FMC) as a machinist and made government parts for Navy ships.

If you knew Terri, you knew her love for flowers, garage sales, thrifting for treasures, genealogy and most of all her husband, children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her big heart and fun-loving, caring personality. Her infectious smile, positive attitude and humor won over the hearts of all who had the privilege of taking care of “the queen” while she was in the hospital. Terri will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Terri is survived by her husband Ron, two children Michael Shipp and Michelle (Travis) Fonken, two grandchildren Pryce and Travis Jr., father Dale Shipp, sister Lori Goodman, brothers David Shipp and Patrick Shipp.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Shipp.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held in the near future.
