Altoona, WI, USA

Teresa Lynn Lunderville, age 53, of Altoona passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Peace Hospice House with her family by her side on February 24th, 2026 due to complications of a stroke.

She was born in Eau Claire on May 18th, 1972, a daughter of Don and Jean (Freid) Nichols.

Teresa graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School in 1990. She then went on to work at Sacred Heart hospital for many years. She married the love of her life on October 14th, 1995 at Our Savors Lutheran church where they were then blessed with two daughters Kaytlynn Jean and Brooke Danielle. This past year they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with family and friends.

If you asked anyone what mattered most to her, they would tell you it was her family – being a loving wife, a kind-hearted mother, and the best Mema you could ever know. Anyone who knew her knew how much she adored her animals. Her animals weren’t just pets – they were truly a part of the family.

Her and Dan enjoyed many outdoor activities whether it be camping, snowmobiling or four wheeling. She loved nothing more than being outside in the sunshine. Through her time at O’Neil Creek Campground and riding with the Misfit Mudders, she built so many lasting friendships and unforgettable memories.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband, Dan; her daughters Kaytlynn Lunderville (Brandon Hakala), Brooke (Scott) Suckut; her treasured grandchildren Ryker, Bristol and Kaeden; her mother, Jean Moss and father Don (Diane) Nichols; her dear sister, Jennifer Meyer; her beloved in-laws Wallace (Beverly) Lunderville; her sister-in-laws, Kari (Mike) Peabody and Debbie (Jim) Steinke; and many nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family who will miss her dearly.

Teresa is proceeded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents; and a wonderful step dad Jim Moss.

The family wishes to thank Teresa’s caregivers at Mayo Clinic – Rochester, Our Lady of Peace Hospice House in St. Paul, and all of those who have checked in and prayed for Teresa during this difficult time. A special thanks to Mayo Home Health Care Nurse Dan.

She lived with a full heart, a strong spirit, and a sense of humor that made life brighter. She may have claimed to be the best singer around, and that memory alone will always make us smile. Her love and laughter will echo in our hearts forever.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday March 7th, 2026 at the Union Town Hall, 1506 North Town Hall Road., Eau Claire, WI 54703 from 12pm-4pm. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember her beautiful life.
