The heartbeat of our family
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving well- preserved, but to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, beer in the other and still screaming - whooo! What a ride!”
About our beloved Tammy
In Loving Memory of Tamora "Tammy" Mary (Kellen) Flandrick
August 1, 1958 – January 23, 2025
Tamora "Tammy" Mary (Kellen) Flandrick, 66, of Isanti, MN, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, surrounded by her family. Though small in stature, Tammy was mighty in strength —“a lion,” as she lovingly referred to herself. She faced life’s challenges with unmatched strength, beating both lung and breast cancer. Her continued health struggles ultimately brought her to St. John’s Hospital, where she bravely battled for 18 days before making her journey to heaven.
Born on August 1, 1958, Tammy grew up in Minneapolis, MN. She attended St.Alberts grade school and Regina high school. She was proud to be a free spirited hippie, growing up in the 60’s and 70’s. She married her grade school sweetheart, Daniel Flandrick, on October 16, 1976. Tammy dreamed of becoming a mother from the time she was a little girl; and she fulfilled that dream with incredible love, care, and compassion. Tammy and Dan raised five children and built a beautiful life in Isanti, MN. Tammy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who lived for life’s simple joys—spending time with her family, time at “The Lake,” traveling, singing, and dancing. Tammy’s family was truly her heartbeat. She was very proud that her children remained close into adulthood, celebrating birthdays, holidays, and yearly camping trips to the lake together as a family. Tammy loved to travel and visited countless states enjoying the world around her.Tammy had an unmatched zest for life and passion for a good time. She could turn an ordinary day into a party with music, dancing, and her presence. Tammy’s love, light, and laughter were unmatched. Her family will honor her wishes by carrying her spirit with them to family gatherings and adventures.
Tammy is survived by her devoted husband Dan (48 years); her children Amy (Brent), Angie, Shannon (Ric), Chad (Kate), and Beau; her grandchildren Eric, Josh, Ashton, Kelsey, Sierra, Tyler, Samantha, Ella, Erin,Owen, Jace, Layla, Avery, and Logan; great grandchildren Brizlynn and Riley; her father Jerome; her siblings Jerry and Becky; her aunt Michelle and uncle Bud, and many other loved relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ramona Kellen; her sister, Ramona Perron; and her in-laws, Mary Lou and Red Flandrick. Tammy is already deeply missed, but leaves behind a large legacy of love.
Tammy’s family will honor her vibrant spirit with a Celebration of Life on April 19 at the Isanti community center, time to be announced. She lovingly asked for a “whoopdee doo”, with cherished memories, music, and dancing shared.
Mom, we love so hard because you loved so hard. Rest peacefully knowing your light will forever shine in our hearts.
