life story

Tammie had to fight her whole life & is now finally at PEACE!

Tammie grew up in Willow River, MN, later moving to the Twin Cities before moving to Arkansas for approx. 20 years and coming back to MN around 2011. Tammie lost her fight with stage four cancer Sunday August 27, 2023, at 0607. Tammie loved in her own way, and she was loved! My mom has a great sense of humor and made us all promise that we would write a message from her which is, "I'll be back"! Guess what, she promised me she would give me signs and she did- a story about a rabbit but I knew!

No longer needing to fight and finally at peace!

Grandma Tammie by Myranda Houle.

Our Grandma was not your average grandma. Oh No, she was definitely an interesting character which I'm sure she'd laugh at me for saying that. I was thinking of something to say, "sweet' but my grandma was not the sweet type. She was sarcastically humorous as am I and that's how this'll be. If chaos was a person, that would be Grandma Tammie. Grandma had a mouth of a sailor, drank the strongest black coffee ever (gross) & smoked more than a chimney... loved to pick on those that were close to her. My favorite memories are the ones where she and I would joke with each other and talk crap while people were watching. My most favorite times with her was the camping trips she took me and my sister Kylie and Cody and Benny on. There was NEVER a dull moment when grandma was around and her stories were CRAZY, you'll be missed Grandma!

memorial service

Tammie's celebration of life, burial & lunch will remain private!

I apologize if any confusion, this is a very hard time, and we were going to do a celebration of life for everyone, but this time isn't for everyone it is for my family and I and my mom. Thank you all for your support but this is my final decision! My mom's wishes were to have a private gathering and I am respecting that!
