Susanne Stahl: A Strong Woman Who Felt Deeply and Loved Fiercely

Susanne Lee Stahl, aged 63, passed away on March 26, 2022. Susanne was born in Brooklyn, New York to Peter and Ann Stahl. In 1996, she moved to Roanoke, Virginia where she made a life with her daughter DeAnna and many, many friends.

Susanne graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Radford University in 2002. She was an avid lottery player, loved working puzzles, sending and receiving greeting cards, and all kinds of arts and crafts. But she was most fulfilled by her work as a caregiver to kids with special needs.

Susanne was most proud of being a mother to DeAnna and Lenny, an aunt to her niece Chrissy, and a grandmother to her grandchildren Claudia and Alyssa Smith and Aidan and Noelle Delligatti.

Susanne is survived by her children DeAnna and Lenny; her grandchildren Claudia, Alyssa, Aidan, and Noelle; her brother, Glenn Stahl; and sisters, Gail Stahl, Annette Avicolli, and Doris Stahl; nephews and nieces, Christine Clayborne, Lauren Pye, Danielle Garcia, Brittany Garcia-Martin, Frank Digena, Desmond Goodrich, and Ashley Avicolli; and her aunt and uncle Josephine and Michael Sambriski. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ann and Peter Stahl; her brother, Gary Stahl; and her sister, Kathy Stahl.

The best gift Susanne gave her family was teaching them how to love each other better.
