Susan's Life

Susan Erika Clifford was born on March 25, 1958 in Duluth, Minnesota. She went on to study at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, graduating in 1980. She began her career as a temp at 3M while completing her masters at the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management. She worked for over 40 years at 3M and retired as a Director of Supply Chain. She was married to Gregory Pennella, Esq. and lived in Afton, Minnesota. She had two children, Hillary and Tristan Pennella. Her daughter had a profound love for music and attended DePaul University School of Music as a cellist. She later followed in her mother's footsteps, completing her degree in Supply Chain Management at the University of Minnesota and now works in supply planning at 3M. Her son graduated from the University of St. Thomas in Biology and went on to medical school at Des Moines University. Susan was a person with a strong faith, profound work ethic, and inspired many she crossed to achieve their greatest ambitions. She lived her life focusing on the needs of others. As a mother, she never missed a sporting event, musical performance, or bedtime story. Her smile grew wide as her grandchild, Cash entered her life. She preferred "Gigi" over grandma, but the spoiling of Cash certainly represented one proud, loving, and beloved grandmother. She enjoyed reading, faith, and was a fanatic of the finest foods. She touched the lives of many people throughout her years and will be missed, cherished, and celebrated for many days to come.
