life story

Loving Wife, Devoted Mother

"It might have appeared to go unnoticed

But I've got it all here in my heart

I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it

I would be nothing without you.

Did you ever know that you're my hero?

You're everything I wish I could be

I could fly higher than an eagle

For you are the wind beneath my wings"

~Bette Midler, "Wind Beneath My Wings" was Stevie's favorite song

About Stephanie "Stevie" (Seils) Heller Rosvold

Stephanie "Stevie" Rosvold, age 80, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and mentor, Stevie lived a life defined by boundless creativity, deep community involvement, and a generous and compassionate spirit that touched everyone she met.

Born on June 25, 1946 to Delores Seils and her adoptive father George Heller, Stevie grew into a woman of remarkable warmth and talent. She shared a loving and devoted marriage with her husband, Roger Allen Rosvold Sr. until his passing in 2011, building a life centered around family and service. Together, they raised two children: Roger Allen Rosvold Jr, and Robin (Rosvold) Amendolare. Stevie was their biggest cheerleader, proudly supporting them through eight dedicated years of marching band and drama, always ready with encouragement and a helping hand.

While she was immensely proud of her children, her three grandchildren—Josef, David, and Maxx—were the absolute light of her life. Her love for them was immeasurable, and she always said that being their “Gram” and “Grammy” was one of her greatest accomplishments.

Stevie was best known for her lifelong passion for crafting and her extraordinary creativity. Her hands were rarely still, and her talents shone brightest through her love of sewing and crochet. Her talent for sewing will always be remembered by her daughter Robin for lovingly handcrafting beautiful formal gowns to be worn at the various Job’s Daughters formal dances.

Deeply committed to her community, Stevie was a proud member of both the women’s group of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star lodge 255 in Hibbing, Minnesota. Her dedication to youth was especially profound through her active involvement with Job’s Daughters. As a mentor and positive role model, she shaped the lives of countless young women and girls, instilling in them confidence, grace, and kindness.

Stevie’s legacy of generosity, artistic spirit, and fierce devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Roger Allen Rosvold Jr, and Robin Amendolare (Wayne); and her cherished grandchildren, Josef Rice, David Rice, and Maxx Rice; her siblings, Martin Heller (Cheryl), Antoinette (Heller) Brush, James Heller (Debbie), and Donald Heller, as well as many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Allen Rosvold Sr, infant daughter Lydia Mae Rosvold, infant grandchildren Nôa Andrew Rice and Claire Nicole Rice, parents George and Delores (Seils) Heller, and siblings Georgia (Heller) Meath and Robert Heller.

Her funeral will take place on 08 October 2026 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery where Stevie will be interred alongside Roger Sr.
