Steven Paul Nelson, 65, of Richfield passed away January 16, 2021. Steve was born on February 4, 1955 to Lois and Paul Nelson. Steve was loved by many and was known as ‘Big Steve’ because of his 6’10” height. He graduated from St. James Senior High School, St. James, MN in 1973; received his AA at Huron College, Huron, S.D.; and graduated from Brown Institute and used his awesome radio voice at several radio stations, as well as television advertisements. Steve was an avid bowler and loved being a “grandpa.”

Survived by sons – Justin (Emily) Nelson of Omaha, Neb., Brandon (Amanda) Nelson of Minneapolis; grandsons – Zander and Calvin; siblings – Kent Nelson of Wisconsin), Lynda Nelson of Florida, Mark (Colleen) Nelson of North Dakota and Melissa (Jason) Becker of Minnesota; and several nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by parents Paul and Lois Nelson.
