Steven John Kotula, 67, of Blackduck, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on November 29, 2021.

Steven was born on December 13, 1953. He married the love of his life, Sherry Daken, on August 16, 1975 in Kelliher, MN. Together they raised their two children, moving from Kelliher to Colorado for about 4 years, then back to the Kelliher/Blackduck area.

Steve worked in the woods for multiple people, as well as a carpenter, specializing in ceilings. His greatest joys were his 5 grandchildren, along with hunting and fishing with his family and friends.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Sherry; children, Melissa (Joe) and Austin (Carmen); 5 grandchildren, Mady, Hailey, Cooper, Roman, and Callen; a brother, Michael; and numerous family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his mother and father-in-law.
