Steven Curtis Nord, 63, of Blackduck, MN died under hospice care on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at his home.

Steven was born on August 14, 1959 in Waukegan, IL, the son of Alton and Grace (Morkert) Nord. He moved to Blackduck, MN at the age of 16 and graduated from Blackduck High School in 1977.

He worked for Rockensock Logging in Blackduck for 25 years, as a firefighter for the US Forest Service for 7 years and then for the Minnesota Dept. of Natural Resources part time for 3 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Steven is survived by his brother, Gary Nord of Blackduck, MN; and sister, Diane Nord of Beach Park, IL.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Grace Nord.

Graveside Services for Steven

September 20, 2022

Location: Lakeview Cemetery in Blackduck. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. at the Cease Funeral Home in Blackduck on Tuesday prior to the interment.
