A loving Father and Grandfather

Stephen Andrew Brodin, 88, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents William Brodin and Esther Heiges and siblings, Ralph, Jim, Alan and Tom Brodin and sister Cathy Warhol.

He is survived by his children Dwayne, Nick (Sharon), Jenny (Paul) Granovsky and his grandchildren, Justine (Kelsey) Wohl, Ben Brodin (Renee), Jamie (Sam) Mayes, Travis Brodin and fiancé Shelby Kerkow, Jason Brodin, Ali, Emma and Zach Granovsky and 5 great-grandchildren, Cooper Wohl, Teddy and Archer Brodin, Micah and Josie Mayes.

About our Dad....

Dad came from a large family from NE Minneapolis. As a young man he played football for Edison High school as the kicker. He was also in track. In high school is where his passion for golf started. He served in the Coast Guard reserves for 6 years and was a ski instructor. He had numerous talents but, being an amazing artist is for sure #1 and made a career of it all his life. As an avid outdoorsman and fisherman, he taught all of us kids the beauty of nature. He was also good at wood working. In retirement, he started work at a paint store helping people with paint selections. Perfect person for the job don't ya think? After roughly 10 years, he moved on to one of his passions and started working part time at Gross Golf Course in Minneapolis a couple days a week right up until the season ended last fall.

He taught people a lot of things with his words of faith, kindness, and positivity and he always seemed to look on the bright-side of things. On behalf of our entire family, we thank you all for all your kind condolences.
