A loving son, brother and friend

Stephen ("Steve") Francis Schultz, 72, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Steve was born April 21, 1953 in Albert Lea, MN, the son and first born of Alvin and Evelyn (Siglowski) Schultz. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1971. He later attended and graduated from Mankato State University. Steve lived most of his life in Minneapolis, MN where he was a small business owner and entrepreneur working in photography and graphic design. He loved photography, music, collecting old cameras and fiddling with his vintage stereo equipment.

Steve is survived by his mother Evelyn Schultz, brothers Tim Schultz, Michael (Christine) Schultz, sister Kathy (Lowell) Jacobson, nephews and niece Chris (Adrien) Jacobson and daughter Naysa, Ryan (Carrie) Jacobson and daughters Emma and Morgan, Amy (Jade) Pestorious and their children Mya, Ryder and Kaylee, Jeremy Jacobson and his children Grace, Cameron, and Amelia. Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his father Alvin Schultz, sister Rebecca and her husband Matthew Weigel, and brother Robert Schultz.

Funeral services will be held at St. Theodore's Catholic Church in Albert Lea, MN at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 13. A reception in remembrance of Steve will follow held at St. Theodore's Marion Hall.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
