life story

Stephen Craig Eklund passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Steve was born September 6, 1952 in Kansas City, MO and moved to Osceola in his early 20’s. Steve married Ann Baillargeon and they had two children, Eric (Byron, IL) and Brittania (Lonsdale, MN). Towards the end of Steve’s life he moved to Brittania’s home and Eric came up to help with Steve’s care.

Steve was an avid reader, hunter, fisherman and chef. Steve loved cooking for family and friends, and was well known for his tiramisu.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Glenda; he is survived by his sister, M.L. Eklund, son Eric, Daughter, Brittania, grandson, Dylan Resemius and ex-spouse Ann (Jeff) Gagen.

A private, family Celebration of Life is being held April 27, 2025.
