About Stephanie

Stephanie Jean Rogers, 38, passed away on January 24, 2025, surrounded by her immediate family after a courageous battle with colorectal cancer that was initially misdiagnosed. By sharing her story, Stephanie was able to save at least one life and wished to inspire others to be proactive in managing their health. Despite her illness, Stephanie's focus remained steadfast on the happiness and well-being of her loved ones. She was determined to create cherished memories, never allowing her pain to overshadow joyful moments. She wanted to ensure that her loved ones remembered her with smiles, not sadness.

Stephanie was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Lucille Griser (7). She is survived by her parents, Jim and Carol Rogers; her sister, Jessica Anderson (Greg); her two half-sisters, Ellen Schmidt (Karl) and Sara Johnson; her grandmother, Irene Raymond; and her close niece, Kayla Anderson. She also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Stephanie was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Lucille Rogers, and her grandfather, Darrel Raymond.

Stephanie graduated from Jefferson High School in Bloomington and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Minnesota. She also obtained a degree in Business from the University of Phoenix. She was a proud member of the BMO family, whose love and support were greatly appreciated by her and her family. Stephanie was admired for her generous nature, selflessness, and her subtle yet sharp wit. Quiet, yet possessing a big personality, she made a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Stephanie found immense joy in arts and crafts. Baking and cooking were also among her passions, especially when shared with Lucy and Kayla. Her strawberry dessert was a frequent family request. She enjoyed taking trips, and one of her fondest memories was fulfilling Lucy’s wish to visit Universal Studios in California to see Super Mario World.
