Stella Dumas

Age 101, Peacefully passed away Thursday August 6, 2026.

Preceded in death by Parents Marie Giesinger and Joseph Fleck her Husband Gene Dumas, sister Sally(Thomas) Chapman, brother Leo Fleck, brother Jim Fleck, brother-in-law Edward Senger, sister-in-law Joyce Fleck, brother-in-law Jim Fleck. Survived by son David (Susan Kowaliw) Dumas, grand children Forrest Wishy, Rose(Mike) Bromme, Remington Wishy and great grandchildren Aurora and Ronin, sister Helen Senger, brother Jack Fleck, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at: Holy Name of Jesus in Medina on Thursday September 10th, 2026 Visitation will be at 10:00am, Mass at 11:00am.

Stella started life in North Dakota on a farm in Selz. She was first in family to graduate high school then taught children in a one room school house. Then she moved to Minneapolis and became a telephone operator back in the day when she would connect a phone call by plugging a wire from one hole on a board to another hole. She retired from the phone company when everyone had a cell phone. She will be remembered for her kind attention when listening to other people and enjoying their life stories. She traveled, read and was a very good cook. She loved her grandchildren and listening to their lives.
