Skylar Matthew Hagen, 22, Park Rapids, MN passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN after suffering a massive heart attack on October 29th.

Skylar was born October 24, 2002 in Park Rapids to Tamra (Hart) and Ronald Hagen, Jr. He grew up in the Park Rapids area and graduated from Park Rapids High School in 2021. He worked at Bullwinkle’s in Nevis and was currently employed by Midstate Insulation in Park Rapids.

Skylar enjoyed going to the gym, fishing, hunting, music and hanging out with friends. He was an inspiration to anyone he came in contact with. Skylar was a mentor to his younger siblings and to many kids he played sports with. His smile and laughter was contagious. He loved life, his family and his friends. He will forever be in our hearts.

Skylar is survived by his father, Ronald Hagen, Jr. of Park Rapids; his mother, Tamra (Ryan) Hart of Park Rapids; siblings, McKenzie Hagen of Fargo, ND, Kamron Hagen of Park Rapids, Blakely Hagen of Park Rapids; grandmother, Rosemary Hagen of Two Inlets; aunts and uncles, Shannon (Nikki) Hagen of Laporte, MN, Shawn (Laura) Hagen of Park Rapids, Shaloi Hagen of Fargo, ND, Tony Huwe of Audubon, MN, Heather (Seth) Rasmussen of Park Rapids; and lots of cousins whom he loved dearly.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ronald Hagen, Terry Huwe, Gordon Hart; and his grandmothers, Dorothy Olson and Cindy Hart.

Calvary Lutheran Church 112 Park Ave, Park Rapids, MN 56470, USA

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Park Rapids. Visitation will also be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Two Inlets.
