Sheryll Brooks Soderdahl, 79, of Watertown passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2026. Sheryll was born April 18th, 1946 in Oak Park, Illinois to Glenn and Myrtle (Loh) Ward and spent most of her early years in the suburbs of Chicago. The family had many connections to the North Shore, especially in the Tofte/Lutsen area and Sheryll enjoyed many visits there as a child and as an adult. She passed on her love of the area to her children, who continue to enjoy visiting the places the family has known for generations.

Sheryll was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Myrtle (Loh) Ward; brother Dennis Ward; William Hubbard; many other beloved family and friends.

Sheryll is survived by her loving family: children Jonathan Hubbard of Chaska, Katherine Soderdahl of Waverly, Michael (Jenny) Hubbard of New Ulm, Christine (Thomas) Schultze of Prior Lake; grandchildren Sampson (Samantha) Schultze, Mallory Schultze, Benjamin Hubbard, Ryan Schultze, Zachary Hubbard; sister Joan Ward of Ajijic, Jalisco, MX; many other relatives and friends.

A Gathering of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, January 31st in Watertown, MN, and she will be laid to rest this summer in Tofte.

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made to an organization supporting people or animals in need in Sheryll’s honor.
