About Shawn

Shawn Rodriguez Sr. of St. Paul, born September 30th, 1960 passed away peacefully on August 28th 2021 surrounded by family he loved dearly. Preceded in death by his beloved parents Carmita and James Rodriguez, it was by watching them that he grew to be the family driven man he was.

Shawn’s life was fueled by the love he had for his family, whether he was taking his sons out to eat, or taking a car full of grandkids to the waterpark, nothing he did was done selfishly, but always with an open heart.

Shawn is survived by his wife Amber, his sons Shawn (Samantha), Joshua (Tara), and Jacob (Holly). In addition to grandchildren, Mariah (Tim), Josalynn, Izabella, Alana, Jacob, Joshua Jr, Elijah, Alexa and Aislyn. He is also survived by his siblings, Steve (Tina), Vicki, Carmita (Tom), Bruce, Christina and brother in-laws, Danny, Kelly, Mike and sister in-law Kim (Doug).

His family and friends will remember his charm and unique charisma, and the way he always made people feel special and loved.

The Rodriguez family appreciates thoughts and prayers as they navigate this trying time. A memorial service to celebrate Shawn’s life will be held in the spring with details coming as they are available.
