Samuel Thomas (Mr.Dee/Uncle Dee)

Kingston, Jamaica
life story
Very committed, always working hard, honest, kind, family man
Born in St.Ann, Jamaica and later moved to Kingston as a young adult. A well known quiet individual, kept out of trouble, even with the ownership of motorcycles early on in his life. He was capable of doing many trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, steel work, tiling, painting etc. throughout his life. He mastered being a Mason. Built his own house adding a section at a time as he takes care of his family. Also helped to build many houses around his community.
He begot 5 children, 1 daughter and 4 sons, leaving behind 4 sons, grandchildren, great-grand, 1 sister, many nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
His home was always open to welcome any family member or friend in need of a place to stay, a place to leave their vehicles or belongings at, with no end date.
His work tools were almost like tools for the community as people would frequently borrow tools from him and he would lend them. His wheelbarrow had to be the most borrowed one.
Travelling
His job required travelling to many different places through Jamaica from in the country areas and mostly in Kingston. He often always knew how to get to a new place, was like having your own personal GPS when going out with him. He has been doing this for decades, not much road left that he hasn't traveled on. Oooh, that all changed once he got a trip to the US. Now he knew nowhere but keep trying to figure it out. It is so massive now you actually need a real GPS. He traveled to over 25 States. He has seen Los Angles, the Grand Cannon, Atlanta GA, The White House, New York City and more.
A memorable moment was to see how exciting he was to finally see his sister in the US and she was just as excited. Seeing the big smiles and them hugging tightly was heartwarming to see.
