Mom loved life. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was often referred to as the life of the party. She especially loved hosting gatherings at her home during holidays and special occasions. Family came first for mom, and was evident in how she raised us. As a single mother, she worked tirelessly, putting our needs ahead of her own.
After she retired from West Publishing, she spent much of her time with her grandchildren. One of her favorite past times was taking long walks or bike rides with her grandchildren around Colby Lake in Woodbury, MN. When it came to her grandchildren, she enjoyed trips to the Wisconsin Dells, watching choir, orchestra and band concerts, dance recitals, sporting events, drama performances, and anything else they were involved in. She often talked about the time she spent with them was the best time of her life. If you were in a earshot of Granny, you would hear her proudly boasting about everything her grandkids were involved in, and how much she loved each and everyone of them.
Mom was our rock and we will miss her dearly. To honor her we will have a private service and internment at Calvary Cemetery, in St. Paul.
