About Miss Rose

Rosa Rebecca Daley passed away on Monday January 31, 2022. Rosa who was well-known as “Miss Rose,” “Rosa,” “Sister Lucy” and most affectionately, “Mama” was born in Trelawny, Jamaica on September 10th 1933 to parents Ida and James Watson. She was one of 13 siblings: the oldest of 5 girls and 8 boys. She was a talented and well-known Seamstress from a very young age.

She migrated to the United States in 1987 where she worked for many years at the Omni Hotel in downtown Minneapolis until her retirement. She was preceded in death by loving husband and father Audley Daley in 2002.

Her memories will be cherished by sons Neil & Keith Daley and their families. Daughters Carmelita Daley & family, Marjorie Davis & family, Callmie Dennis & family, Sharon Jackson & family, Joy Headley & family, Pamella Clarke & family, Apple Maxwell & family, Kulanda Redden & family and Shekera Combs & family. She will also be missed by surviving siblings: Marcus Watson, Jestina Anderson, Kenneth Watson, Grace Watson, Beresford Watson, Nerissa Ellis and Verley Watson.
