Ronda Sue (Kokemiller) Trippett
June 27, 1974 – December 28, 2022
Fort Myers, FL, USA
Ronda Sue (Kokemiller) Trippett, passed away unexpectedly on December 28, 2022. She was born on June 27, 1974, in Story City, Iowa – along with her twin sister, Jana. She grew up in Luther, Iowa, and later in life moved to Fort Myers, Florida, where she enjoyed the warm weather and sandy beaches. She had recently moved to Winder, Georgia.
Ronda attended United Community School in Boone, Iowa, from elementary through high school, graduating in 1992. She then pursued a degree in nursing, graduating from Iowa Methodist School of Nursing. Her nursing career focused on neonatal intensive care work, an interest likely influenced by being born prematurely herself.
For the past 18 years, Ronda worked at Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida - the last several years in the pediatric sedation department. She was very skilled in her profession and touched the lives of many people through her work – including her patients, their families, and her co-workers.
She was also very talented musically, having started piano lessons at age four. One of the many songs she played from memory was Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata.” At school, her classmates loved singing along while she played “9 to 5” on the piano - she had a special talent for playing by ear. She was a great cook too (she made fabulous cheesecakes and liked canning spicy pickles). She enjoyed harvesting lemons and mangoes from her yard in Florida. She loved all that Florida had to offer, warmth, fishing, and sandy beaches. She had a special place in her heart for her dogs and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Ronda was preceded in death by her parents, David and Linda Kokemiller. She is survived by her husband Rich, sister Jana, and brother Donovan; stepdaughter Ashley; nieces Sylvia and Reese; nephews Dayne, Danny, Kaleb, and Wolfgang; and grandsons Saxon, Ryker, Aston, and Rory.
