life story

A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Ron was born on November 1, 1942, All Saints Day, which he always shared, passed away early in the morning on September 4, 2026. Ron was preceded in death by his ex-wife Judy and their son Todd, parents Leo and Katherine and four brothers. Ron is survived by daughers Jerene Rogers (Todd), Janelle Phillips (Brad), and Jeanine Phillips (Tim), Grandchildren Mathew Rogers, Tyler Rogers, Natalie Lobin (Ryan), Jacob Ziemer, Grace Ziemer and Connor Piispanen. Great-grandchildren Jayden Rogers, Brantley Rogers, Kyleigh Rogers, Kinsley Rogers, Kayce Lobin and new baby boy Lobin on the way. Ron was also survived by his only sister Vera who raised him and whom he adored, very close friend Craig Anderson who became like a son to him after the passing of his son Todd. Also by his best friend Larry Raushel, who made sure Ron had firewood to heat his house all winter and all of his amazing friends in Palisade who became his family. Ron will be remembered for being a wonderful and loving dad, the fun and adventurous grandpa, who always told the grandkids, "what happens at the cabin, stays at the cabin." He was the life of the party and always up for a good time. We will miss the stories, the way he cackled when he laughed hard, his bear hugs, his love of Lord Calvert whiskey and the way he loved his family and friends. Rest in paradise dad. Hug mom and Todd for us, until we see you again, we love you.
