life story

Beloved father, brother & friend

"Whisper words of wisdom, let it be." ~The Beatles

I love the Lord, for he heard my voice;

he heard my cry for mercy.

Because he turned his ear to me,

I will call on him as long as I live.

The cords of death entangled me,

the anguish of the grave came over me;

I was overcome by distress and sorrow.

Then I called on the name of the Lord:

“Lord, save me!”

The Lord is gracious and righteous;

our God is full of compassion.

The Lord protects the unwary;

when I was brought low, he saved me.

About Ronnie's Life

Ron was born in San Francisco, California to Clara “Connie” Hodapp and Ralph William Dale.

Ron/daddio/dad/brother/friend/Ronnie….he was a Gemini and proud of it. Ronnie lived his whole life in California (until the last few months) and never wanted to leave. A true local legend. He said California was the most beautiful place and he adored it. San Diego and the beach were his favorite place. He lived near Venice beach for 40+ years.

He was a man of integrity, loyalty, deep love for his family and friends and his cat “Blue”. Ronnie adored music and art, adored the Beatles and Bob Dylan. Ronnie spent many years making metal and rock sculptures, creating his own piano, guitar and harmonica music as a hobby. For work, Ronnie was a carpenter and painter for a union. He loved watching and learning about many subjects, fascinated by inventions and innovations and aliens, too. He loved to tell his life stories he held dear and we loved to hear them. He liked telling about when a car fell on him when he was working under it, he died, saw the light, & asked God for a second chance. That's why this scripture was so fitting, and that God granted us more time with him at the end. He was always thankful to God. He liked making his kids and grandkids laugh with his goofy side and could say the most outrageous things when you least expected it.

Ronnie was proceeded in death by his 2 brothers, Theodore Vincente Dale and Milton Dale who died in separate motorcycle accidents and his father who died of suicide, by his two sisters, Becky and Colleen Dale and his mom.

He is survived by his youngest brother, Robert “Bobby” Dale, his daughter Tessa Fultz (Dale), his son Ryan Dale, his grandchildren- Benjamin, Rebecca & Noah Froom, & Emily Dale.

We are so thankful to Grace Hospice for providing such amazing care and comfort to Ron in his last 3 months of life, enabling him to live at home with us. They always brought a smile and genuine love. We are thankful to his previous hospice provider in California also who did the same.

We praise God and thank Him for giving us cherished time with him. We are thankful he is living his best in heaven with his loved ones.
