Ronald W. Lupinek, age 84 of Coon Rapids, Minnesota died on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

Ronald Wayne Lupinek was born on July 31, 1940 in Milbank, South Dakota He was the son of Edward Wilbur Lupinek and Isabelle Adalyn (Zielsky) Lupinek.

Ron grew up in Summit and South Shore, South Dakota areas. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and later became a Catholic when he married Joyce Brown in 1968. To this union two sons were born. Jon Lupinek (Coon Rapids, MN) and Russ Lupinek (East Bethel, MN).

Ron graduated from South Shore High School and then from the North Dakota State College of Science. After college he was drafted into the Army where he spent two years in Korea. Upon returning he went back to the North Dakota State College of Science and after a year at school, he was offered a job in the Apollo Program at Honeywell in Minneapolis. While working at Honeywell he also attended classes at the University of Minnesota and was promoted to an engineer within Honeywell.

Ron is survived by his wife of 56 years Joyce Brown Lupinek (Coon Rapids, MN); Sons, Jon Lupinek (Coon Rapids, MN) and Russ Lupinek (East Bethel, MN); Grandchildren, Ashley, Thomas, Tyler, Makenna and Josie; Brother, Lowell Lupinek (St. Cloud, MN); One niece and 6 nephews.

Ron is preceded in death by his grandparents Rueben and Anna Zielsky, parents, Edward and Isabelle, sister Cheryl O’Farrell, brother, Lynn and sister-in-law Penny Larson Lupinek.

A celebration of life will take place in the spring.
