Ronald "Ron" Myrle Olson, 80, of Stillwater, MN, passed away on February 2, 2026 from complications of a stroke.

Ron was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota and is the son of Mary(Knutson)Caldwell and Myrle Olson. He grew up in Grand Forks and St. Paul, Minnesota and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul.

Ron loved cars and was involved with dirt track racing for almost 50 years. He raced late models, modifieds, and sprint cars at tracks across the Upper Midwest. The racetrack was his happy place.

Ron is survived by his daughter Lynn, son-in-law Scot, grandsons Liam, Alex, and Ryan (Haley), granddaughter Ariel, brothers Mylo (Sandy) and Dave, sisters Lucy (Mike) and Evelyn (Bill), many family members and friends, and his beloved kitty, Lily. He will be forever missed.

He was preceded in death by his son Gary, daughter-in-law Kathy, mother Mary, father Myrle, sister Cindy, and many other loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Ron at a later date.
