Ronald Howard Benson

Ronald Howard Benson was born May 26, 1958 and succumbed to pulmonary fibrosis at home June 9, 2024 (at the age of 66). Ron was born at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN. He graduated from Anoka High School in 1976 and received a diploma in the Tool Room Machinist/Moldmaking program in 1980 from Anoka Technical College. He was employed as a machinist/machine builder at nVent/HOFFMAN Corporation in Anoka for 40 yrs. In the later years he worked as supervisor of the machine shop and retired April of 2020. Ron is survived by his wife, Lucinda; daughters, Leah (Todd) Becker, Jill (Wade) McColley; son, Dan (Marina); eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Lois Benson; infant sister, Sharon; and brother, Randy. Ron enjoyed cars, mechanics, racing, machining, tinkering, boating, and fishing; however, his greatest passions were his relationship with Jesus Christ, his family, and friends. Ron got it right. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 13, 11:00 a.m. at Pathways Community Church, 6341 – 167 th Ave. N.W., Ramsey MN. Inurnment at a later date.
