Our Ron
Eggert, Ronald J., age 71, of Vadnais Heights, MN, passed away on December 21, 2022. Ron was born in St. Paul, MN. He is survived by his beloved life partner, Kathleen Quitter; son Aaron Eggert (Tiffany); son Brian Eggert (Brenda Harvieux); sister Roxanne Gregorski (Raymond), along with their children’s families; brother Alphonse; Kari Quitter and children Jalen and Jordan; Joe and Liz Quitter; and many friends and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents Irene and Alphonse Eggert.
From his youth as a Boy Scout, Ron loved the outdoors. He later put that love into his cabin, his sanctuary in Bigfork, MN. There, he fished, hunted, grilled, puttered around the lake, sat by the fire, and generally savored the cabin life. He treasured the freedom of long drives, road trips, and his Harley. Ron read daily; from cookbooks to history to fantasy, he was a wealth of knowledge for all things past and present. He was also a Green Bay Packers superfan ever since an unforgettable Packer/Viking experience in 1992. Ron was generous and showed he cared by cooking; he enjoyed exploring new recipes and watching The Food Network. Ron liked things low-key, and those who knew and loved him will remember relaxed conversations and warm company. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 28, 2023, between 12 and 4 pm, at Kellerman’s Event Center at 2222 4th St, White Bear Lake, MN 55110.
