Hovelsrud, Rolf Mads age 83 of Minnetonka passed away November 25th, 2021. Born to Jens M and Astrid Hovelsrud on August 8th, 1938 in Oslo, Norway. Proceeded in death to his wife of 25 years, Michelle, his parents, and his brother, Jens E. Survived by his nephews Jens Mark (Jill) and Paul (Jennifer) Hovelsrud, his great nieces and nephews Karina, Jens Knute, Alex, Lauren, and Matthew, and his sister in laws Bonnie Jimmerson and Betsy Muehlhausen. Rolf and his family left Norway to settle in the USA in 1957. Rolf and his brother Jens began working at Clarus in 1960. Clarus Inc is a machine shop that their father started before his family arrived. Rolf dedicated 40 years of his life to the company. Rolf married the love of his life, Michelle, in 1981. They enjoyed a wonderful marriage of 25 years before her life was taken too soon. Rolf enjoyed outdoor activities, specifically down hill skiing, going to Vikings games at The Met and fishing. Though, Rolf did not participate in these activities alone. Rolf’s close-knit group of friends would get together often to enjoy each other’s company and participate in the activities they all loved. Many people look for friendships like theirs for their entire lives, and Rolf was lucky enough to find them.
