Rockne James Richardson
October 11, 1948 – June 30, 2024
Minneapolis, MN, USA
life story
A true original, beloved by friends and family
Rockne James Richardson was a rare, one-of-a-kind individual who was taken from us far too early. We will miss him dearly but wish him the best as he begins his next journey. As he moves on, our thoughts will be with him, imagining him on the open roads with his Harley, enjoying a warm Blatz, and taking all the time he needs to craft his own fireworks and perfecting his homemade cannon.
Rock amassed a wide and colorful group of friends, family, neighbors and coworkers who thought the world of him. He cared for his friends deeply and was always ready to lend a hand to those who needed it. He had a knack for fixing nearly anything, even if the timeline for completion could be a little fuzzy.
Born Oct. 11, 1948, in Minneapolis and living in the area his whole life, he passed peacefully on June 30, 2024, after a brief hospital stay. He joins his father, James, mother, Viona and wife, Kathlyn Ann, on the other side.
Keeping his memory alive will be his son Troy Richardson of Los Angeles and his cousin Karin Novak in Wisconsin; he was like a father to Tina Gould and her husband Tim of Chanhassen and their kids Libby, Tyler and Jaxon, and grandkids Quinn and Rowan. He has many friends who were like family, including Mike Fischer, whose son Luke knew him as Uncle Rock, Connie Rautio, Joy Johannes and Sean Ahmad.
