In Loving Memory of Robert John "Bob" Giefer

Robert John Giefer, 67, of Mahtomedi, MN passed away on October 19, 2024. He was a beloved father, cherished grandfather, treasured brother, and devoted friend. His love, wisdom, thoughtfulness, and passion will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his three daughters, Karin Giefer, Kristin (Ben) Towberman, and Kellie (Jeremy) Giefer- Johnson. His former wife, Vicki Giefer, will forever cherish the family they created during their time together. His grandchildren, Taylor, James, and Mya will always remember him with love. Bob also leaves behind his brother Roger Giefer and sisters Rene Lindorff and Lisa Tvedt, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

His passions defined him. Whether it was Nascar, boating, snowmobiling, or any other power sports he lived life at full throttle. His extraordinary ability to fix anything with a motor was legendary, making him the go to person for any mechanical challenge. Spending time with family during the Holidays were a time of joy and celebration for Bob. He reveled in the festive spirit, whether it was blowing off fireworks on the 4th of July (or any other day for that matter), decorating for Halloween with an abundant collection and carving pumpkins, stringing up lights on a ladder between power lines in the sleet, or simply being in the right place at the right time to "try" all the warm cookies. Though he is no longer with us, the memories of Bob will live on, inspiring us to embrace life with the same resilience and enthusiasm that he did.

Rest in peace, Bob. You touched many with your love and kindness.
