Robert "Bob" Page
September 17, 1951 – July 24, 2026
Robert "Bob" Page passed away on July 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of deep love, kindness, and creativity. Born in Maryland on September 17, 1951, to Robert and Eva Page, Bob grew up alongside his older sister, Roberta. He loved and revered his sister dearly. Bob is now reunited with his parents and sister, who preceded him in death.
First and foremost, Bob loved his family fiercely. They were the source of his greatest pride and life satisfaction. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lynda who was wholly devoted to him, and notes that Bob lived his life to make hers more comfortable, love filled, and happy—and he was 100% successful. He is also survived by his three beloved sons, Brandon, Kris, and CJ , daughters in law, Chelsea and Jen ,7 adored grandchildren, Brie, Kavyn, Aidan, Ember and Maverick from Chelsea and Brandon and Madison and Marshall from Jen and CJ as well as niece Tania O’Dell and many extended family members to include Cindy and Herb Stahnke, Barb Neubauer, and multiple cousins on both sides of he and his wife’s family.
Bob was a very kind, loving, and generous man who accepted everyone he met without hesitation,.
A multi-talented soul, Bob loved to write poetry long before meeting his wife, continuing his writing throughout their years together. He was also a friend of Bill W. for 42 years. His sobriety was a top priority in his life and he treasured many friendships made while in the program.
Bob moved from Oregon to Fairbanks, Alaska, in 1984 with his first wife, Ellen, and sons Brandon and CJ.
By a beautiful twist of fate, in 1991, his future wife moved from Sitka to Fairbanks. The two eventually met in Fairbanks in 1995 and were married in 1998, blending their families, to include her son, Kris who from the start Bob became a loving father and role model to.
Bob expressed his creativity through music and art, loving to play the guitar and sing. About 10 years ago, he taught himself to paint, later taking watercolor lessons from Vladimir Zhikhartsev, an artist he deeply admired.
Bob was also a great storyteller and loved a new audience that he could share his life stories with and he had some pretty amazing stories. He always stated that it was important to tell our stories so we don’t ever forget them.
Bob was also a handyman and a "Jack of all trades" extraordinaire, exceptionally knowledgeable in carpentry, plumbing, electrical wiring, and yard maintenance. He channeled this precision into creating spreadsheets and diagrams for new projects to enhance his family's life and keep the household running smoothly.
Professionally, Bob worked for PDC Engineering (now RESPEC) for over 30
years, forging many deep and lasting friendships throughout his career.
For the last several months of his life, he worked for Santa’s Senior center here in North Pole and immensely enjoyed all the people who attended as well as those he felt privileged to work with, to include, Joe, Ruthie, Cora, and Debbie who always brought him a special lunch plate to his desk.
For all those who knew and loved Bob, he will be forever in our hearts, and the lessons in love he shared will never fade.
A celebration and honoring of Bob’s life will be announced at a later date.
