It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) McElhaney of Anoka MN. He died at the age of 81on 23-March-2024.

To honor Bob’s life we are holding a celebration at the American Legion in Anoka MN on Wednesday, 17-April-2024, 12:00 - 2:00pm

About Bob

Bob was an outstanding guy when it came to his sense of humor and kindness. He didn’t hesitate to help others especially when it came to his children and grandchildren. His positive attitude was at the forefront and driving force for his zest-for-life despite years of challenging health issues. He was at his best on the golf course and going on adventures with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Bob was born on 1-March-1947 in Breckenridge MN. He served in the US Army (1961-64), and resided most his life in the Anoka/Ramsey MN area. He worked in car sales and owned an RV business until his retirement.

He is preceded in death by his parents Amy & Matt Mess, Joseph McElhaney, and brother Jack Mess. Survived by his wife Pat, married for 55 years. His children Patrice (Jeff) Lerum, Michelle McElhaney, Mike McElhaney. Grandchildren Sara Lerum, Joe Lerum, Drew Anderson, Jake Anderson and great grandchild Makenna Anderson.

He will be sorely missed! In honor of Bob, please pay an act of kindness forward.
