Robert “Bob” Lloyd Breeze, 63, of Blackduck, MN passed away under hospice care on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at his home.

Bob was born on December 6, 1959 in Xenia, Ohio to Walter and Marlys (Schmidt) Breeze. He attended school in Baudette and Northome, MN, graduating from Northome High School in 1978.

He worked for many years as a truck driver and farmer. He was a beloved son to Walter and Marlys, loving father to his son Matthew, and loving partner to his fiancé Sharon Albrecht. He lived in Blackduck for 30+ years.

Bob and Sharon attended Hope Lutheran Church in Northome, MN. He was awarded the Carnegie Medal from the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission, which recognizes persons who perform extraordinary acts of heroism in civilian life.

Bob’s springs were spent attending fishing opener with his loved ones and taking his nieces and nephews on great adventures. His summers were spent farming; haying fields, shearing sheep, and even taking in a stray calf or two to raise. Falls were spent at deer camp telling stories with a crew of family and friends, where he taught his son Matthew to enjoy the crisp fall mornings watching deer. During the winters he enjoyed snowmobiling and spending weekends ice fishing with his fiancé Sharon. He also enjoyed camping, building and fixing equipment, reading crime novels, and telling jokes.

Bob is survived by his parents, Walter and Marlys Breeze of Northome, MN; his son, Matthew (Cora) Breeze of St. Paul, MN; his fiancé, Sharon Albrecht of Northome, MN; his sister, Barbara Breeze of Bemidji, MN; Nieces and nephews, Alison and Mike Leas of Bemidji, MN, Kate and Seth Carlson of Fargo, ND, Donn Harstad of Bemidji, MN, Jeff and Jessi Harstad of Silt, CO, and AshLee Hagen of Bemidji, MN; and many beloved great nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, Mya, Madelyn, Jenna, Kaleb, Finn, Calvin, and Oliver.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Percy and Elsie Schmidt and Robert and Clemma Ann Breeze.

Hope Lutheran Church 12234 3rd St, Northome, MN 56661, USA

Matthew Breeze will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Ardenhurst Cemetery in Northome, MN.
