Robert “Bob” Lawrence Schmidt, born in Braham, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 2, 1954, Bob was a man of remarkable intelligence, and talent, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and many people who love him.

A mason by trade, Bob was known for his skill and precision, a reflection of his keen intellect and innate talent for mathematics. His hands were equally at home on the family farm, where he dedicated many years to its care, ensuring it thrived as a cornerstone of his family’s history.

Bob’s love of socializing made him a natural conversationalist and a source of joy for those around him. Whether sharing stories, solving problems, or lending a helping hand, he had a way of bringing people together and making them feel at ease.

Bob is survived by his loving children, Jamie Rog and Cris (Marlo) Schmidt; his cherished sisters, Sharon Schmidt and Pat (Chuck) Pojanowski; and his treasured grandchildren, Amber (Eric), Emilee, Ethan, Jaden, Gracyn, and Cash. His memory will be a lasting comfort to his family and friends, who will forever miss his humor, wisdom, and warmth.

The family takes comfort in knowing that Bob has found peace, and they ask that those who knew him honor his memory by celebrating the good times shared with him.

A private family celebration will be held to honor Bob’s life at a later date.
