Robert Gerard Jefferson, 82, of Blackduck, MN passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the Blackduck Good Samaritan Center.

Robert was born September 9, 1939 in Boston, Massachusetts to Gordon and Estella (Penney) Jefferson. He lived most of his life in Ayer, Massachusetts and then Bakersfield, California. He attended school in Ayer, and later received his GED. Robert worked for the Ayer Fire Department from 1962 to 1982, retiring after 20 years of service. He moved to Bakersfield California in 1982 and worked at Floyd’s stores in Bakersfield for many years. He later worked at various resort campgrounds in Northern California and Oregon. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, and loved to cook, travel, and camp in Oregon.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert J. (Dedra) Jefferson of Pepperell, MA, Holly Jefferson of McCordsville, IN, and Christopher (Debbie) Jefferson of Valley Center, CA; grandchildren, Adam Dawson of Tennessee, Annika Dawson, Lindsey (Tim) Suppa, and Ian Jefferson, all of California, and Gregory (Samantha) Jefferson of Illinois; great grandchildren, Lincoln Dawson and Savannah Suppa; stepchildren, Amy (Alex) Day and Adam (Heidi) Rohrbach; and step grandchildren, River Rohrback, Emily Day, and Erika Day.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Jefferson.
