Loving Mother and Grandmother

Rita Jean (Gascho) Bourgoine was born on September 13th, 1948 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She grew up on the family farm in Badger, Iowa and is preceded in death by her parents Cleo and Violet (Peggy) Gascho. She had fond memories of growing up on the farm with her parents and siblings, including "working with Dad in the barn- milking, feeding calves. I can smell the milk in a pail."

She is survived by her siblings Linda Gascho, Marcia (Bob) Reish, Donna (Bob) Mauck, Craig (Lori) Gascho, and Kurt (Kathy) Gascho.

Rita moved to the Twin Cities and met Philip E. Bourgoine.

Rita and Philip were married on May 20th, 1972 at Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. She is preceded in death by Philip, who was born on May 18th, 1944 and passed away on March 17th, 2020.

Rita will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, whose faith in God and Jesus endured through all of trials in her life. Rita is survived by her children Bryan Bourgoine, Bradley Bourgoine, Justin (Jennifer) Bourgoine, and Kirsten Reed; her grandchildren Adelyn, Gracyn, Bauer, Ezra, Violet, Hunter, Cody, Tyler, and Grant; her great granddaughter Isla.

Rita passed away on July 10th 2025 in Coon Rapids, MN.
