TRUDI WROTE:
I lost my dad this past Wed 9/20/23. He was 75 years young. I was lucky to be at his bedside those last few days. When he was still lucid I told him I'm leaving now dad, see you tomorrow, I love you and he said "I love you too. That was the last conversation I got to have with him. He taught me how to fish, how to bowl(keep that thumb straight up) and how to drive a stick shift in his old Datsun. When I was a kid I would spend the summers with my dad and work in his insurance office. When I built my first house, he showed me how to place river rock around the fireplace we built together and mortar in between the rocks. My dad loved being on the river, and when the time is right we will send him off to be on the river forever. Rest in peace dad, I love you!
JODY WROTE: Watching a parent die is the loneliest feeling in the world. My Dad had always been there for me. He was the Great Fixer, helping me overcome so many of life’s problems, to getting me help when I was going through my deepest, darkest depressions. And now, in his time of need, I can’t help him. I feel so helpless so useless. All I can do is massage his bony shoulders as he groans in pain and whisper in his ear how much I love him and how much I’ll miss him. I’m in so much pain watching him. Rest in Peace Dad
