A good friend and loving father/grandfather

A little about Richard...

Richard was born on May 2, 1946 in St Paul and died at home on June 3, 2024 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Survived by children, Lisa (Martin) and Mathew (Jennifer) Willey, grandchildren Luke and Nina, and sister Barb (Brian) Leary. Preceded in death by parents Edgar and Blanche and brothers Mitchell, Jerald and Thomas.

A mechanic by trade, he owned and operated Midway Marine Service in St. Paul for over 30 years. He enjoyed playing soccer and broomball and loved motorcycles and cars, especially drag racing (in the car he built). He was always running around, but never to busy to miss meeting the gang at McDonald's.

He was a great friend to many and loving father/grandfather. We will miss him!

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 19 at Lexington Park (indoor) in Roseville (2131 Lexington Ave N - corner of Lexington and County Rd B) from 3-7pm. It will be Open House style and you are welcome to come at any time and stay as little or as long as you'd like. Food/drink will be provided (please note that alcohol, tobacco/vaping is not permitted on the grounds). Parking is available in the lot or on the side street.
