"RICH" Father, Grandpa, Uncle and Friend
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Rich passed away unexpectedly on Thursday June 4, 2026 at age 76, after complications from a surgery.
As he left this earth on that day he was freed from all pain and was reunited in heaven by many loved ones that preceded him in death, including his grandparents Loren and Cora, his parents Loren and Ortensia, brother Loren, sister Loretta and special friend Toni.
He is survived by his son Raymond, and three adored grandchildren Jesse, Cody and Paige and their mother Tina, sister in law Sandy, many nieces and nephews, and other family and friends who loved him, including his dear friend and fishing buddy, great-nephew Matt.
Rich was a master of many talents and trades, you could always find him tinkering around with something, anything electronic, working on cars, many projects around the house and yard. He liked to stay busy and could fix or repair almost anything! He loved music, playing guitar, and watching the games of all his favorite Minnesota sport teams!
Rich also loved spending time down at the River and the Falls in town enjoying the great outdoors. One of his greatest passions was fishing and he would stay on his boat from morning till night if he could! In his retirement he had many fishing trips over the years in both Minnesota and Wisconsin and was looking so forward to another summer of fishing after his surgery.
But his greatest joy was his grandchildren, he loved them dearly and was most happy when he could spend time with them, and he was especially excited to meet his new great-grandchild.
As a young man Rich answered the call of duty and served our country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Because of his service, a private interment will be held at his final resting place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on August 27th, 2026.
Although Rich is deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, we will always cherish the special times we shared with him and carry his memory in our hearts forever.
He is now safe in the arms of Jesus, until we see him again.
