First Claim to fame was running over himself with the car at age four, surviving with a brain concussion, broken collarbone and some lasting scars.
Sister,Marie, born in 1945. Brother, Wayne, born in 1952.
Won a soap box derby race in 1949 and the teen-age driving rodeo in 1957.
Received his single engine private pilot licence in 1980.
High school years filled with activities in music and sports—trombone, cello, chorus, football, & tennis.
But, the major event was to start dating his future wife, Peg Knudsen.
